I was reading through Matt 14:28 (5 loaves and two fishes), I saw how Jesus after hearing that John the Baptist had been murdered filled with grief still went about to minister to people.

I learnt that even in our trying times, we should continue to show compassion to those who are in need of it. We shouldn’t allow our problems take away our ability to be kind, compassionate and loving to others.

It was then the holy spirit opened my eyes to this; though Jesus was grieving, going through the loss of a dear friend, he didn’t let this stop him from doing Good. He still gave God thanks and allowed God to use him to perform a miracle.
